February 15: International Childhood Cancer Day
CHILDREN, THE FORGOTTEN VICTIMS OF CANCER RESEARCH
February 15 is International Childhood Cancer Day. A reminder that cancer is the leading cause of death by disease in children. But above all, research is essential to cure them and cure them better. Only 3% of children diagnosed with cancer survive without sequelae*. It's time to do better.
Every year in Switzerland, almost 300 children are diagnosed with cancer, and one child dies every week.
This pandemic year has shown us all the importance of medical research, with the rapid discovery of a vaccine for covid, which is magnificent.
We'd like to see research into treatments for pediatric cancers move forward too.
How can we help?
On this special day, Zoé4life has launched a challenge: Receive as many donations as possible with the number 15: 15 centimes, 1.50 fr, 15 fr, 150 fr...
Thanks to your support, Zoé4life will be able to continue funding a number of innovative research projects, in partnership with the CHUV, the HUG, the Swiss Pediatric Oncology Group (SPOG) and the pediatric hospitals in Zurich (KISPI) and Basel (UKBB). The aim of these new protocols is to increase cure rates and reduce sequelae. In 7 years, Zoé4life has donated CHF 1,841,397 to research in Switzerland.
Support pediatric cancer research to help us in our mission to CURE MORE AND CURE BETTER.
Another way to support us: MOVE4LIFE!
You too can take part in this surge of solidarity by signing up for Move4life, the challenge where you choose your own challenge and set your own limits in support of children with cancer!
How can you take part in Move4life? It's as simple as that:
- Find a challenge be it sporting, culinary, playful or cerebral! (or anything else).
- Register at and join the Move4life community!
- Give-you and be proud to have taken action for children with cancer!
- Raise the kitty of the community by spreading the word about your challenge!
A huge thank you to all those who support us, through a donation, their participation, or their actions for the association.
Together we can make all the difference!
