10 years later, Zoé4life organizes its first conference

The idea has been in the back of our minds for some time now. But we couldn't have imagined, even 5 years ago, that this milestone would be reached in our 10th anniversary year:

Organize a conference in French-speaking Switzerland to bring together all those involved in childhood cancer.

But to what end?

After lengthy discussions, the evidence seemed crystal clear: among other things, to demonstrate the importance of multidisciplinary collaboration, but also of putting the patient at the center of our concerns. It was also an opportunity for renowned doctors to present their work, and for parents and others to learn more about this taboo subject. To put questions to representatives of the medical field, adults who have been cured of cancer as children (survivors) and parents who are becoming the voice of patients (patient advocacy). While these objectives seem clear to us, it is just as important to be able to create exchanges and open up discussion so that we can reflect together, how to heal more and heal better children with cancer.

Healing more and healing better! The subject of our conference was found! We then had to determine how to structure our day, with themes established in 3 stages. Healing more and healing better: why - obstacles - moving forward together.

This is why we have surrounded ourselves with experts in their fields, professionals, associations and parents, to offer you a conference as rich as it is varied. We hope that this will enable us to propose medium-term solutions to cure more and better the 350 children under 18 who are still diagnosed with cancer every year, despite the fact that it is now 2023.

Open discussions, enable exchanges, but also alert the media to the issues we all face as players in the child cancer community. To broaden our horizons so that we can learn from each other and move forward together. Because, as we all know, it's only together that we can make a difference for children with cancer.

We're delighted to be able to confirm the presence of renowned doctors from various hospitals in Switzerland and Paris, and we'll be honored to welcome Professor Gilles Vassal, pediatrician, oncologist, pharmacologist and professor of oncology at Hôpital Gustave-Roussy in Paris.

10 years of work, collaboration and support have enabled us to offer you a tailor-made conference that we look forward to sharing with you: Saturday, May 6, 2023, at the Starling Hotel in St-Sulpice,
