Zoé4life celebrates its 9th birthday!

Founding Members 2013

On May 25, 2013, 9 years ago, the Zoé4life association was born.

Around the table in our Sullens home that day were Séverine, François, Jean-Charles, Nicole, my husband and me. Not forgetting Nicole's son Elliot, our eldest daughter Lana and, of course, Zoé.

Nicole and I had this project to one day create an association to move the world of pediatric cancer. When our children would be cured... Because in 2013, hardly anyone knows about this scourge.
Zoé's relapse totally changed our plans, and was the trigger for creating Zoé4life.

Zoé's story has put a face on pediatric cancer in Switzerland.

We never imagined what would come next and where we'd be 9 years later. So many people have been with us since 2013. And so many people have joined us along the way.

I never thought that one day we'd be able to organize events that would bring together hundreds or even thousands of people like Day4life. Never could I have dreamed that we would one day raise over 1 million francs in a year from donations and the fruits of our events alone. That we'd be able to work so hard to keep our running costs under 10 %. Let alone that Nicole would one day go to the European Parliament to change the laws.

I never imagined that we'd be able to manage this association with all that entails: communications, social networks, marketing, accounting, administration and the management and monitoring of the projects we fund. Not to mention organizing and staging events, and finding sponsors, partners and volunteers.

But above all, I would never have imagined that 9 years later, we would be able to announce that we had donated over CHF 2,400,000 to finance research projects in pediatric oncology. Including CHF 700,000 in 2021 alone.

Thousands of families have received financial support from Zoé4life, and wonderful projects for children have come to fruition thanks to our contribution.

Thanks to all of you!

To you who have supported us from the start,
To you who joined us along the way,
Thank you for your support...
Thank you for your loyalty...
And above all, continue to support us, by talking about us, sharing our publications, following us on social networks or signing up to receive our news on our website.

Zoé's story is both tragic and magical. Tragic because Zoé has left us. But thanks to her fight, she has enabled us all to mobilize and make an incredible difference in the world of childhood cancer.

On this anniversary, to help Zoé4life continue its work, why not make a donation of CHF 9.00?
