Zoé4life, the little association that does big things

Many of you consider Zoé4life to be a great association.

A large association? Probably because we communicate a lot, because it's important to us.

It's true that we're also very active.
That we travel as much as possible for each event or action organized in our favor. Whatever the size of the event or the amount raised.

Maybe also because we organize our own events, big events that attract a lot of people.
Probably a bit of all of the above.

The six members of the executive committee are all volunteers.. Only Gaëlle works part-time for Zoé4life and I work full-time. Together, we manage the day-to-day running of the association.

Our work remains focused on the four goals we have set ourselves

  • Every year, Zoé4life offers a financial support for over 100 families living in Switzerland
  • The association finance various projects for children during and after treatment
  • We organize various events and actions to raising public awareness of pediatric cancer
  • And finally, Zoé4life funds access to new treatment protocols to heal more and better children.

Saving children with cancer, whatever the situation

When war broke out in Ukraine, we answered the call of our Ukrainian and Polish colleagues. Zoé4life, but also other organizations like ours, asked the rest of the world to welcome and care for Ukrainian children with cancer. So that they can continue their treatment and have a chance in the face of disease.

In this extremely urgent situation, we found a way to pick up 16 Ukrainian children and their families and bring them back to Switzerland.

As in March 2020 with the arrival of COVID, we were able to react quickly, we worked hard and we looked for solutions. Whether it's helping children with cancer or continuing to raise funds in the face of a global pandemic, we know how to adapt.

Looking to the future

We scrupulously study each and every project submitted to us in order to best support the cause of pediatric cancer.

At the same time, we are setting up our own projects. This is the case of All4life, a self-help exchange to improve the quality of life of children, teenagers and young adults after treatment.

Driven by the importance of making a difference, we're constantly on the lookout for new ideas to reach out and spend your donations in the best possible way.

It's not the amount raised by a non-profit organization that's important.

It's how that money is spent.

Since Zoé4life was founded, our operating costs have never exceeded 8%.

In 9 years, we are extremely proud to be able to say that we have contributed to new treatment and research protocols for more than CHF 2'200'000. We live solely from the donations we receive and the events we organize. We receive no government aid.

Every franc counts for us and for the fight against pediatric cancer.

In a nutshell...

...even though we're flattered that Zoé4life is considered a great association.

In reality, it's a small association that does big things.

The most important thing is to remember who we're doing all this for... and to think ahead.
