Beads for courage, to encourage our heroes in their fight against disease. This program, originating from the\u00a0VOKK<\/a>\u00a0in the Netherlands, was set up by the\u00a0Vaud Cancer League<\/a>\u00a0and Zo\u00e94life supports it by financing the pearls.
Thanks to this program, children have a way of bearing witness to their fight against the disease. Each bead they receive represents an intervention or treatment. Children can proudly show their friends and family how far they've come. As a result, sick children gain self-confidence and their courage is rewarded.<\/p>

Toys for children in isolation.\u00a0<\/strong>This cart provides children confined to isolated rooms with play and sports toys. The aim is to get them moving, active and occupied during those long moments when they can't get out of the room. The idea for these games came from Jayson, an 8-year-old hero who spent several weeks in one of these isolation rooms.<\/p>

Fertility preservation<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Therapeutic advances now enable us to cure more than 80% of children with cancer. Unfortunately, these treatments can have serious long-term consequences. Recent studies show that around a third of adult survivors of pediatric cancer have fertility problems, and that these have a major impact on their quality of life. Preserving fertility is therefore essential for the future of these children. Zo\u00e94life is supporting a project in this field for children with cancer in French-speaking Switzerland.<\/p>

PASTEC<\/a>\u00a0Promotion de l'Activit\u00e9 Sportive Th\u00e9rapeutique pour l'Enfant Atteint de Cancer. The aim of this study was to demonstrate the beneficial effects of adapted sports activities on children with cancer. The project was born of a collaboration between theCHUV's Pediatric Hemato-Oncology Unit<\/a>\u00a0and the\u00a0Center Sport et Sant\u00e9 at the Centre Sportif Universitaire de Dorigny.<\/a>\u00a0Its aim was to evaluate the benefits of physical activity on improving physical capacities and quality of life in children treated for cancer.<\/p>

After funding the scientific study to the tune of over 100,000 Swiss francs, Zo\u00e94life continued to support the initial operational costs and provided financial assistance to the families taking part.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
